Hey, how is Speex better for the voice files than MP3? Just curious.

For one, it sounds
much
better at low bitrates. This means we can use much smaller files for the sound clips. That's the main advantage that I'm aware of. Are there others?

It's also much smaller in terms of code size than MP3. This allowed it to be integrated directly in to the Rockbox core rather than with the slightly evil voice codec swapping we had before. The result was smaller, neater, and more stable code.
