is it possible to play video out to tv

AFAIK the only Sansa model that has hardware to support TV out is the new
View.  Though Sandisk doesn't mention this, someone on anythingbutipod.com has reported a hack using the docking connector to get video out of the view.

What about the iPod 4G Photo? I know it can be hooked up to a TV to view pictures but with the RockBox software can it also do videos? Thanks.

It can't even do pictures - we have no idea how to drive the TV-Out in the connector.

This is partially an off-topic question but do you guys just figure out how these players work or do you sometimes decompile the oem software?

We do not "decompile" - we do disassemble though.
