MPEG playback error, Sansa e200
(1/1)
grossaffe:
I just updated rockbox on my player and i am now having an issue with video playback, the screen shuts off after a second, if i press a button it comes back on... for a second.
another thing, i'm not sure if its material, but i have a couple videos on my microSD card and when i select those, it give me an error message reading "missing packet start code prefix: FFFF at F000", but since i don't get that error with my other videos and they all still have the above problem of screen shut-off, i'm not sure if that means anything.

This was actually a bug that slipped in with a settings rework yesterday which affected mpegplayer but also other plugins like jpeg viewer, brickmania and some other. It should be fixed now in the latest current build (revision 15810), please update again.
I think the 'missing packet start code prefix' issue is something else and maybe has to do with how the files are encoded (but I don't know). Search a bit in the forums, if I remember correctly there was someone posting about the same problem here not long ago.

Missing Packet Start Code Prefix is also a non-fatal error (at least for me). Meaning, when I get the message, my video still plays fine. But then, I've only gotten it once or twice.

thanks guys, the update solved the problem.
