Different text for WPS than rest of Rockbox?

G'morning all,

Is it possible to use a different text for my WPS than I want to use for the rest of Rockbox (e.g. menus)?

I haven't seen anything, but I'm hoping I'm wrong.

By text I assume you mean font? If so, then no, Rockbox currently doesn't support more than one font at a time. It's something that's wanted, but I'm not sure any work has been done on it yet.

there's a multi font patch. some unsupported builds and themes (like jclix) make use of it.

does this milti font patch have different fonts for the menus? i konw the patch is able to have mitliple fonts for just the wps but what about the menus?

I think it should work. Can see no reason why it shouldn't.
Why don't you give it a try and tell us?

I haven't checked the multiple fonts patch, so I don't know how it works,
but if that patch of some reason have a long way to go before it's committed,
then here's an alternative thought:

Make it possible to make WPS's that combine a font of the users choice with the default system font.

Doesn't the status bar already use the system font whatever font the user wants?

i have no reason to use this patch. i was just curious, also i dont really like using unsupported builds.
