Sansa E200 series and new USB stack.
(1/1)
P.Opus:
Is anyone else having issues with the new USB stack implementation recently committed with the Sansa E200 and E200R series?
About 50% of the time the screen fades to white and just locks up the whole OS. Â The other time, it seems to plug in fine and the Rockbox info screen shows that the unit is charging, but after a several hour charge, it did not seem to charge properly. Â (It seems the charging rate doesn't change to the higher draw figure).
Do you have to plug the cable to the Sansa first and then plug into the USB port? Â My experience above was with connecting the cable to the Sansa after the cable is already in an existing powered usb port.
Am I doing something wrong? Â For now I'm going to just plug the unit in with the power off and do the charging with the OF, but I just wanted to know if I was messing something up, or does the new USB drivers not play too nice with the Sansa hardware?
Thanks in advance.
OOPS: Just checked flyspray, It's listed as bug 8221 so I guess it is known. I'll put this in flyspray where it belongs....
phisher:
i haven't updated to the new firmware yet but i think i can answer one of your questions.
no i dont think it matters which way you plug it in. unless the sansa has a sensor in it which im not aware of which would tell it if it has a cable in it but that would be pointless.
when the Mbuild gets updated with USB stack support i will check it out.
