Linux on Sansa E280?

If this is not the appropriate location/web page for this question, please direct me to the correct location -

Since the Sansa E280 has a FAT partition, I presume it is capable of running Linux?  If so, does anyone know of a Linux project for this task?

These are the rocbox forums, and not for general support.  That being said, I know of no such projects.
