"Clock skew detected"

(1/1)

jacksoncougar:
Whenever I try to build the source (No changes, newest daily build) I get clock sync errors. How can I fix this? (The builds are not properly made when complete)

cool_walking_:
I've had "clock skew detected" warnings (i.e non-fatal) on Windows.  It seems to be complaining of files having timestamps in the future.  I assumed these were caused because of Cygwin or Windows not handling timezones properly.  It doesn't seem to affect anything.

EDIT: Google tells me it's likely due to the FAT filesystem's timestamps only having an accuracy of within 2 seconds.

jacksoncougar:
I have it installed on a Fat32 partition; should I reinstall to a NTSC?

cool_walking_:
Well, like I said, it doesn't break anything, but if the message really bugs you that much, then yes, moving rockbox trunk to an NTFS partition should stop them.  You don't have to "reinstall" anything, just move the Rockbox folder, and then do a "make clean" in there.
