Good EQ sound settings?

So what you're saying is that you're pushing current into the audio out on your sound card and that it doesn't work well when you do this?

AH ha!  I don't know if you meant that in a serious way or sarcastic but you're right.  I was "stickin my cord in the wrong hole".  Changed over to Line In and it's sounding the way it should.  Stupid mistake, but most are.
Guess I didn't need a splitter.  Asked the guy at Rat Shack and he said it would work - I guess that's what I get for taking his word.
