Samsung YP-T8
« on: November 23, 2007, 06:49:19 PM »
Hi, I am willing to help anyone if they decide to do a port for thie player. I read a post for developing for the yp-t9 and i think that they are very similar in terms of features and actual hardware. Can anyone t8 player be willing to help me out with this project. I am a very basic programmer and dont have a lot of experience but would love to help code for this great device.

Thanks

That's a TCC based player (http://www.rockbox.org/twiki/bin/view/Main/TelechipsInfo) so you might be able to tcctool over code to it for test runs. We also have a tool in the Rockbox source to generate a telechips-style firmware header so that you can upgrade to "custom code".

Now you only need to start digging to figure out the hardware etc (step by step here: http://www.rockbox.org/wiki/NewPort)...

And you are probably better off hunting for existing yp-t8 users on sites more directed towards such users...

Good luck!
