Sansa USB stack connection, but not installing as a drive

(1/1)

bascule:
Really glad to see the Portal Player targets have native USB now, but I have a problem/question:

When I plug it into my locked-down Win2000 machine at work, it recognises a new device (Rockbox media player), but will not install it.

I do not have this problem, however, with any standard USB/thumb drives that I use as they automatically install either as a named or generic MSC device.

So will my Sansa install on other machines OK (I have WinXP at home) as a generic device, or will it need a specific driver?

Benway:
I have the same problem here with a 6 GB iriver H10.

If I understand correctly, the USB support in SVN is incomplete.  Zagor's getting USB charging working first, then will continue onto file transfer.

OK, thanks for that info. I figured as no-one had yet put it on the Major Changes Wiki page that it might still be a work-in-progress...

I'm really pleased it's apparently so close, now. Anything to avoid the excreable Sansa OF ;D
