Saving pokemon/zelda/etc. games

Ive looked through some posts but I can't find it.  Whenever i save the game and i turn ipod off, when i come back i have to restart.  It's the same for every game.  Zelda, mario, pokemon, etc.  Someone said something about flipping hold switch on/off but that didnt help.  Can anyone tell me how to do it?  preferably for pokemon cuz thats what ill be playing the most

I don't think the internal game saving is supported, you have to use save states.  To get to the emulator's menu, flick the hold switch on and then off, while in a game.

Additionally, I think I read on here about a problem with pokemon if you have the sound turned on.

"Normal" game saving (when you, for example, choose save in Final Fantasy) is supported and should work.

thx guys i kept just rebooting my ipod ands it didnt save so ill try to just turn off game with hold switch menu and hopefully that works.. ill get on later and share what i found out

ya it worked
i jusr did hold switch and didnt even savefrom games acutal menu. just saved a save file and exited game with hold menu and then came back later

Please try to use proper words, not slang such as "thx".  Some punctuation would be nice too.
