bootbloaders on Sansa C250
(1/1)
Cyrusm:
so I picked up a Sansa C250 the other day. I have the rockbox firmware installed on my player, but I'm having issues with the boot loader installing.
in the command line I ran
chmod +x sansapatcher
./sansapatcher
and received the error message that Sansa C200 is not found. which really doesn't surprise me considering I'm running a C250 that seems to be showing up in my media directory simply as "disk". So, what's the score then. how can I fix this issue or is there another bootloader that will work? and If there is no answer I'd like to help with development for the C250 version of rockbox, because I'm tired of jogging in silence.
also, I'm using arch linux, is there anywhere I can download a package via pacman?
LambdaCalculus:
This may sound silly, but look at the back of your c250, and tell us if you see "v2" anywhere on the botton.
Cyrusm:
hot damn..... yep it's a v2.... I'm guessing that's bad, right :-\
so does anyone want help with development? 'cause this thing cost me forty bucks and I'll program it my damn self if I have too!
skaos:
Please take a look at the following thread: http://forums.rockbox.org/index.php?topic=13781.0
The developers would like flatbed scans of the electronics (or good quality photos) - could you take it apart and do that? Some help in taking it apart can be found here: http://www.anythingbutipod.com/archives/2006/11/sandisk-sansa-c200-disassembled.php
Cyrusm:
Thanks for the links, and of course I'll tear it apart for you guys if it'll help make it work. I'll try to get photos up asap.
