archos recorder 20 won't boot: ATA error: -11

my archos recorder 20 with rockbox flashed on it is giving me this message when i try to boot:

ATA error: -11
Press on to debug

Does anybody know what that means? I've checked the harddrive in an external harddrive enclosure and it is good. I've also formated it. I replaced the screen a couple years ago so I've had the whole thing completely dissasembled at one point so that might have something to do with it.

I seem to remember this potentially being caused by bad battery contacts.  Have a search of the forums, I'm sure it has come up before.

thanks...i checked out the battery contacts and the board on the bottom of the player is loose. i'll try and solder it back together.
