Hey
Sorry, i can't check right now, gotta go, but i'll let you guys know, I'll edit this post with detailed info tomorrow, if it doesn't look the same, i'll re-install, i may end up doing that anyway.
Thanks again so much for sticking this out with me, you guys are amazing.

Alright. I haven't re-installed vmware because i think the problem is either in the image, or in windows not detecting samba.

Questions:

What kind of device will Samba show up as??? (i.e. workgroup computer, upnp device)
And what is it named?

bascule:
Start > Run...
\\debian\user

After logging in as per the VMWare image (user/rockbox), this will open a standard Windows Explorer window onto the virtual environment.

I tried what you suggested but:

with vmware running

I used the command you specified, however:

"the network path was not found"

I tried restarting vmware, but that didn't change anything. Also, i tested this as both "user" and "root"

Also, i didn't install vmware into the C:/ Root directory, does that change anything???

This thread might help...

Okay.
I think this might work, but i don't know how to use samba normally. Do you just run:
\\debian\user  ???
because this isn't working for me, even after reset.

Could anyone direct me to a post or topic on how to use samba???
Because nothing is working for me...
I have used run, firefox, and i can't view workgroup computers even though i'm admin.
