Ok somebody please help me!!!!!! With reinstallation

Ok, I installed rockbox on my ipod and it worked fine. I told my friend about rockbox and he downloaded it and put it on his nano (I HAVE A 30 IPOD 5.5 VIDEO). He also downloaded the doom patch and put that on his ipod. he didnt extract the files or anythign cause hes not a terche geanius. But all the plugins work perfectly fine no problems at all. Well, i never had the time to put he doom patch on my ipod so last night i decided to put it on cause i had to go to a party with my parents and it was like 2 hours away. So, i did what my friend did and i left my house. I tried to start rockbox (YES I DID HAVE THE HOLD SWITCH ON) and the regular software came up. So I tried to restart it about 4 times and decided just to use the regular software and work on it when i get home. So the next morning I woke up and tried all day to find out to how get it back on there. i uninstalled everything and then reinstalled everything including fonts and themes and it still wont load. I EVEN REINSTALLED THE BOOTLOADER.  





SO CAN SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Please rename your thread with a descriptive title as required by our posting guidelines.

And after that just reset your ipod to get back to rockbox.  I'm pretty sure this is in the manual.

That seems to be your problem.  That's how you signal the bootloader to load the Apple firmware.
