Help !!!
« on: November 18, 2007, 04:14:53 AM »
I have just installed Rockbox on my 4th generation I-Pod this morning.
At first, it worked fine, after some "getting used" to the Rockbox functions I was able to get the I-Pod playing.
But then, when re-inserting the headphone cable, it suddenly indicated a "battery low" warning and then switched off (although I am certain the battery was fully loaded).
Any attempt to start the I-Pod again failed, I also tried to plug it in, in order to re-load the battery, but without success.
Has anybody had the same experience, and if so, did you find a solution to the problem ?
Although this looks like a hardware problem, it seems a bit strange that this happens shortly after installing Rockbox, so maybe there is a simple solution ???

Please search the forums, this has been asked so many times I've lost count.

Also, please rename the thread to something descriptive.

Plug it in to the wall for a good long time (many hours), then attempt to reset it.  There is a bug in the Apple OF that means occasionally it won't start with a fairly low battery.  You don't see this with the OF, as it never shuts down the ipod, just sleeps it, whereas rockbox properly shuts it down.
