Need help recovering my bricked sansa e250

I tried linux.. but i can't seem to get my sansa e250 player to be patched
when i do:

I get:

--- End quote ---
Does anyone know why?
Could anyone help me with a step by step guide for ubuntu 7.10?
I'm a newbie @ linux  >:(

Try running it as root. Type sudo before ./e200tool, then enter your password when prompted.
