Ipod firmware

I realize this is not a specific Rockbox question but I'm hoping someone will be able to help me.  I have a 5th generation Ipod and I'd like to get the current firmware version WITHOUT downloading Itunes.  Can someone tell me if there is a web site from which I can download the latest firmware?
