Gday!

I just got an early christmas present from my wife - a Sansa e280 - have just installed Rockbox - lovely! Love it - well done!

However...
I have been trying to work out how to get the album art to display - have fooled around with themes (downloaded and installed , and tried different sized files, all called cover.bmp , but just can not get the album art to display.

Please let me know how this is done!

Thanks again,

Cheers,

IsaacBlack

Have you read the AlbumArt wiki page ?

bascule:
The downloadable Album Art themes generally use a custom build, so will not work with the Current Build. I haven't seen any 'official' album art themes posted to the Wiki yet (although I haven't looked on rockbox-themes.org), so you will probably have to make your own.

Follow this first to ensure you can make a very simple WPS of your own:
http://www.rockbox.org/twiki/bin/view/Main/SimpleGuideToWPSMaking
http://www.rockbox.org/twiki/bin/view/Main/CustomWPS

Then add Album Art as per this:
http://www.rockbox.org/twiki/bin/view/Main/SimpleGuideToWPSMaking?topic=AlbumArt

[edited, to delete the almost identical information Bascule was posting as I was preparing to post.]

In the end, it's not a matter of simply turning the feature "on" in a setting.  Rather, you have to add the command for album art to the commands used to create the WPS (While Playing Screen, or as I refer to it, the What's Playing Screen), specifying where and how the album art should appear, including in conjunction with the other information in the WPS.  It truly is not hard to do, and many of us enjoy the process.  (Sorry if you already knew all of this--it was unclear to me from your post.)

If the themes you've downloaded include album art, it could be that the commands are out-of-date, given recent code advances.

BlackGlassAA on the ipodVideo has been changed to work with the official build now.
