"Database is not ready" Won't update my database?

I have a Sansa250 and everything works great but the program will not update my music...

I normally drag the music folders into the main folder... When the thing reboots, the main screen said "Database is not ready."

So what I did was I went into the database menu, and click UpdateNow, but I have to turn if off and then turn it back on for the new added music to show....

Is there a way to make the music show just after I download it to my mp3 player...instead of having of go through the updatenow option and turning it back on and off....

I tried Autoupdate, but samething happen....it never updated...

I have the exact same problem with my Sansa e270.  I sometimes even have to resort to deleting the database files on the player to force them to rebuild.  I don't know what the solution is but I thought you would like to know you weren't the only one having this issue.
