Video but no Audio on Sansa e260

I am using the "Elephants Dream" movies as tests (before I try to get any of my own videos on the thing) and for some reason the video plays but I get no audio.  I am using release r15621.  Nothing else installed except themes, fonts, and icons.  And just to be complete, audio works on my computer so it is not the files themselves...

Has anyone else run into this problem where they can see video but hear nothing???

This may be a silly question, but does normal audio work under Rockbox?

...sorry about that.  Yes, audio normally works.  I have no problems listening to mp3s or the radio.  I just don't hear anything when I play videos.  And I'm tried turning up the volume while the video was playing as well with no luck...

I should probably mention as well that nothing else works while the video plays.  I can't stop, pause, fast forward or rewind the video.  I can't go back to the menu either.  The only way for me to get out of it is to hold the power button for awhile to do a hard shutdown.

And neither of the Elephants Dreams movies finish either.  After a few minutes, they just freeze and I have to power down anyway so I don't know what happens when you get to the end of a video either...

Are you sure you are using the correctly-encoded Elephant's Dream for your particular player. It is likely to bug-out if it's one encoded for a different player (screen size, bitrate etc.).

I run into the same behavior when playing either one.  Video plays (and eventually halts) with no audio...

You might try a fresh install.  Verify that it happens with a current build.

did you compile the build yourself?
if you downloaded the installer it may have been corrupted.
it sounds like build / corruption problems at first glance.
I would try reinstalling and / or rebuilding
Just make sure you back up first

Sorry for the late reply (never got the email saying I had replies)...  I just rebuilt from scratch with a base rockbox install, a single theme, and the voice file and it works...

I don't know what changed between releases (the build that worked for me was r15816) but I have audio now...  

It may have been something I had on my sansa as well.  I know I had tons of extras (fonts, icons, themes, games, everything I could find) packed into the above installation that didn't work.  I'll be watching what breaks it now (as I add extras one by one instead of all at once) since I know the base version works.

Is this on original firmware or rockbox? Because on the original firmware, I need to convert my videos to wmv before converting to mov. If I don't, I get no sound.
