Sandisk e250 questions

I just bought e250 so I am still very new to it. I installed rockbox "roughly" ,however, everything worked so far except viewing photo. I can see the files under the Files section, but I couldn't open up the picture files. Does rockbox support view photo? I cannot view video also >"< help please.

and is it possible for e250 to read Chinese ? If so, how can I do it?

The way I install rockbox was...
First, I downloaded the current build then I extract all the files into the root folder of e250.
Second, I downloaded the Rockbox Utility and indicate the directory then click complete install. Everything went smooth but when it gets to theme download, it got stuck at one of the theme and discontinued the installation. Surprising It works but not function perfectly.

The viewers are all documented in the manual.  You can also find a list of plugins in the wiki.

I'm guessing that there's something wrong with the theme that you tried to install and this caused Rockbox Utility to not extract it to your player.  Sometimes themes don't get packaged properly.  I believe that Rockbox Utility will only extract a theme to your player if it finds the correct directory structure inside of the .zip archive.

Do you know if e250 is able to read chinese or asian letters ?

Yes, Rockbox can do this.  But only a couple of fonts contain the necessary unicode characters to display properly.  Try the font called "Unifont".  I believe it contains simplified Chinese characters as well as Japanese and Korean alphabets (i.e. Hiragana, Katakana, Hangul).

Another question. How do I change from MSC to original because I don't know how to transfer my music into my e250 with MSC mode on. Is there other ways to transfer music ? Thank you !

You can drag and drop or use software that can see the e250 in MSC mode.

I have same problem to use it to view existing .bmp file. but there is no issue for jpg.

you can display Chinese perfectly. just need 2 things:

1) set page : setting -> general setting-> Display -> Default codepage (simp chinese)
2) set fonts:  setting -> Theme settings -> Browse Fonts  (unifont)

(you can also download nimbus+umings-14 founts which looks better
