I can apply a theme but it doesnt change the layout of the now playing screen

it just shows the background for the theme, and the normal now playing layout, not the modified one for whatever theme

Unfortunately, the Blackglass with AA theme which was updated yesterday to work with official Rockbox builds will no longer work - the newly introduced left margin WPS tag has changed from being part of %s to being its own tag %m, so that it will work for both scrolling and non-scrolling lines.

You'll either need to adapt the WPS to the change yourself, or wait for a new version of the theme to be released.

I'm facing the same issue with 3 different themes: Escape_Pod AA, Blue 5G, and PJ_red. I'm running Rockbox on a 30g Ipod Video. Is it possible that the 3 themes have not been updated? Because default themes like i_Catcher work very well on the WPS.

Sorry for my newbie-ness and my so-so English!

Yes, the problem is that they are not updated. If something is wrong with a wps, (wrong tags, unsupported tags etc.) the default theme is shown.

There's nothing wrong with being a newbie, we've all been there!

I just installed Rockbox today and i found this same problem, the now playing screen doesn't exhibit the new theme. Is it difficult to adapt the WPS as you stated? I'm still learning so hopefully its a simple edit. Thanks

Search the wiki for "WPS" and check it out; the language is pretty simple all in all.

NM, i found in the WPS Gallery there is a Updated Backglass which works with the most recent version for my X5
