Ipod no longer works
« on: November 12, 2007, 10:04:11 PM »
Just put the files of rockbox on my 60gb ipod and now it shut off and will not turn back on. It goes to the black apple screen and then makes a little noise and shuts off then tries again to restart. I can't get rid of the files either since it wont turn on i cant acess the hard drive thing. Any suggestions? Should i just hope my warranty didnt run out?

Does it work when you plug it in to your computer? (Can you access it on Itunes?)

If so, restore it to the factory default settings. It will delete all your music, but you can re-sync it from your library. (It won't delete the library)

That should work.

I own the Ipod Nano (2GB), Black, Leather Case. With Rockbox, of course.

Do a hard reset and put it into disk mode. This will allow you to access it as a harddrive again.
