digital amp?

(1/3) > >>

nuss75:
I have a lot of recordings with low volume and im constantly around 0db without anny bg-noice.
Now i wonder if ther is a plugin or a setting i can use to boost my volume in the file wihout editing it in a program. Like the preamp in winamp. I think the program doesnt amplify the signal itself but just alter it digitally so the whole soundwave is transposed up. I know if i eq everything to max i can get it ok but it is a hazzle.

an other question does anybody know a easy fast program that alters the wolume of a file whitout making it a wav file inbetween?

Llorean:
Google "Replaygain", then see the section on it in the Rockbox manual.

nuss75:
yes that anser my second question about a a external program that can alter the files.
but what about the preamp?
does such thing exist?

GodEater:
Have you read the manual at all ?

nuss75:
yes i have. and as i recall using replaygain, a external program to modify the files, is the onely way i have seen. perhaps i missed someting and that is why i asked about a plugin or similar that can alter the volume without me having to  hook myself up to a computer inbetwene.... like winamp can without a replaygain modification inbetwene.
so do u have anny suggestion? If u have a suggestion that is not about an external program and hooking up to a computer  please post a link to it so i can find it becouse so far i just found replaygain...
