Iriver h320 only plays first few seconds of songs

An update: I recopied some of the songs, and some of them play all the way through, and others still only play a few seconds. They play fine on my computer. Could it be a problem with the hard drive in the Iriver? I'm not sure what else to try.

2.  Please check your Rockbox build version and report back what build you are running.  The posting guidelines (see my signature) explain how to find this information.

3.  Try running a chkdisk /f from a command prompt to see if your H300's hard drive has any file system corruption.

Information about chkdisk:  http://www.microsoft.com/resources/documentation/windows/xp/all/proddocs/en-us/chkdsk.mspx?mfr=true

pondlife:
As well as a CHKDSK /F, try a CHKDSK /R (assuming you're using Windows).

After running chkdsk it finds no errors. I reformatted the drive using quick format, because when I didn't have quick format checked it sat there for several hours and didn't complete the format. I reinstalled everything, and it was charged according to the voice indication of the battery level, but after a few minutes it just shut itself off. Is there anything else I can try, or anywhere to send it to have it looked at?

Did you try using the /R option with chkdisk like pondlife suggested?
