No tags only under Rockbox?

I finally joined the fun by Rockboxing my iPod Photo and so far I'm blown away. Should have done this long ago.

However, I'm in the middle of listening to an audio book and it's now a problem. This book is not stored as an audio book but just a typical set of MP3 files (about 15 of them).

Under the default iPod loader these files are all seen with their correct tags. In Media Monkey they are also seen with their correct tags (reading them from the disc) but in Rockbox these all show up as unknown making it impossible to listen to the book properly. I have 1600 other music-based MP3's on the iPod and they all appear perfectly fine.

What might be causing this one?

Are you only using (sane) id3 tags? Are you using a recent rockbox snapshot? If so, I'm sure a sample of one of those mp3 files will interest a developer or two...

I'm not an ID3 tag expert. I can only tell you that Windows, MediaMonkey and every other player I have sees them.

Where is a developer that I can send one to for checking?

if you have a small one ( < 2MB IIRC) you can post a bug report and attach the file to that, or come into irc and talk to us

Yes, contact NLS. It was a tag issue. It's now been fixed, though due to some bugs I now went back to the default UI for a bit.

So are you saying the current build fixes this, but has other bugs? Please explain.

I wish I could recall the specifics for you. The build I had didn't recognize the type of tag I was using but some change allowed it to work. It's now been too long to recall the specifics. Sorry.
