iPod 5.5G 30gig - comp not recognizing it

Ok, I have looked through the forum and couldn't find anything of use.

I installed rockbox on my ipod a few days ago and it works great. All of a sudden today when I try plugging it into my computer, it isn't recognized; but it can still charge. I do not understand as to why this may happen because it was being recognized fine with rockbox installed until today.

kill iTunes. apparently this program has a function that hides it as a removable device. restart your computer also helps too

No, my computer recognizes it, but what I mean is to say iTunes doesn't. I'm sorry, I should've been more clear.

I can still charge my iPod through the computer, but itunes won't recognize it in order to put music on and what not. And I'm assuming sine iTunes won't see it, then any program used for rockbox wont either..
