how to record with ipod video
jbp.imperial:
How does it work do you need a MIC? How do you listen to it after?
GodEater:
You need something which will connect a Microphone to the dock connector on the bottom of the iPod (which is where the iPod's line-in is locateD). Once it's recorded you can listen to it however you like...
soap:
Note that the dock connector has a line-in level input, you will need at least a preamp to properly record from a microphone and perhaps provide phantom power depending on the microphone.
Dayph:
I heard that with ipodlinux you are able to record through left earphone. Is it just making fools of other people or does it really work and if. Is rockbox able to do the same??
Thx for answer and I apologize in case this question has already been answered here.

It has been asked (and answered) many times here. Please follow the posting guidelines and search first.
I've just done a simple forum search for ipod record headphone and it returned all the threads I recall seeing on the subject.
Unfortunately, the forum search does not link to search results, so you will have to repeat it for yourself.
