technical question about the x5

hi everyone

i was looking for a question about the recording on the Cowon x5, it might be a direct Mp3 recorder
and at this day i can't find if it could record an .wave format and/or an loosless one. i don't know
if there's a limitation and if its hardware or software, in the case of a sofware limitation maybe there is a
solution with the rockbox's firmware?
maybe some one know  ?

Salut,

Rockbox can record direct to wav and AIFF (uncompressed), mp3 (lossy) and wavpack (lossless), in addition to doing many other wonderful things.

Give it a go!

very good news, Rockbox is really great i'm dying to get my x5
i want to record sounds with a external mic and a preamp to plug into the
line in connector
it makes over 2 weeks i'm searching to know if the recording with the x5 was
only Mp3,

Have a look at the manual (linked on the left).  It is in English, but has lots of stuff to help you.
