Scrolling text - what am I doing wrong?

%e|120|80|167|1|000000|%t20%?it;%t8%?it>

That's the code I'm trying to get the work. I want it to scroll on some co-ordinates, but it simply reverts to default theme. Needless to say, I have all the patches required...I'm rather confused on this one.

Yotto:
Scrolling is all or nothing.  Either the entire line scrolls or it doesn't.  Therefore, you can't do what you want to do.

If, by "I have all the patches required" you mean you're not using the default build, then you can't ask your question here as (Except the Unofficial Builds forum) you can't talk about nonofficial things here.

Zsan:
It's the only text on the line, the only other thing I have is Album art.

I don't even know if I need patches for this, but the codes aren't in the WPS documentaries I found here.

Yotto:
That's a good sign (or a bad sign, in your case) that what you're trying to do isn't standard.

What I mean by the whole line is exactly that: THE WHOLE LINE.  Doesn't matter if there's no text in the other parts of the line, those parts with no text count as part of the whole line.

So, if you want to have album art on the left side, and scroll the stuff on the right side, you simply cannot do it. It's impossible with the current official build.

There is a scrolling margins patch that allows what you want, and the code you've posted may even work for it, but I've never used the patch and even if I had I technically wouldn't be able to help you here as it's not part of the official build.

Hey it seems like as of today the official build now supports the left hand scrolling margin so you can put album art on the left hand side of the screen and text to the right of the album art and have it scroll.
