VBScript to auto transcode
« on: November 08, 2007, 02:05:24 AM »
Apologies...
I did read the "Posting In This Forum" sticky at the top of this sub-forum before posting.  It does not state anything about using the wiki or not discussing ways to make things easier using the plugins.  Looks like it covers 3 topics in that sticky:

What the forum is for (Plugins and viewers)
What a viewer is (just a definition)
That you can discuss problems and ideas, but not ask for features.

So again, apologies.  I will return to being a silent user of the software.

Thanks for the info, but the forums aren't really the place for it, it'll get lost very quickly.  Did you check out the wiki?  The PluginMpegplayer page already has some information on converting videos for rockbox, so perhaps you could add this information there?  It is a much better place for static information.

Not to mention the fact that the guidelines rather clearly state that the wiki is for documentation and static information, and the forums are for discussion, so on that note I'd like to remind the original poster that they are expected to read the guidelines here.
