Where to start in debugging flaky Nano problem?

(1/1)

oblib__:
I updated my source last weekend (it had been since May) and had all sorts of problems playing back audio on my Nano. So I hit the webs and discovered the flaky Nano problem, whose thread(http://forums.rockbox.org/index.php?topic=11504.165) has recently been locked. I would like to put some time into debugging this problem, but I don't know anything about the Nano's hardware, nor how Rockbox controls it. Can someone point me to a good place to catch up on what is known about the hardware?

[edit] I don't want this thread to become the bug reporting thread that was just locked, but for the record, my ipod was one that would get messed up if I left it in the car all day. I started bringing it into work with me to avoid the problem. With the current SVN, it works for a while if I pop the Nano in the freezer for a bit first. Looks like the same problem to me, just more obvious now! Also, nos's patch did not seem to work for me. [/edit]

You should probably go into IRC and ask about it.
