Bricked? Install procedure went fine, but won't boot...

I followed the install instructions here:

...and then here:

The installation procedure went fine - the patcher indicated that it was successful, I placed OF.mi4 and pp5022.mi4 into their appropriate directories, then extracted the latest build to the root directory of the device.
Now all I get is the "SanDisk" logo. It won't boot into RockBox, I can't boot into the previous firmware with the |

Bump. I tried the install procedure again, and again simply get the SanDisk logo but the player will not boot.
I am following the instructions precisely.
- Enter Mfr. mode
- Patch boot loader
- Download zip file, extract & rename to OF.mi4
- Download pp5022.mi4
- Place OF.mi4 in the ../system/ directory
- Place pp5022.mi4 in the root of the device
- Download and extract latest build of Rockbox for the e200 to the root of the device
It reboots, refreshes the database, upgrades the firmware, reboots... and then presents me with the Sandisk logo and nothing else.
Help?

I am not sure this is the solution to your problem but I found out the size of pp5022.mi4 in rhapsody-1.0.2.31.zip is different from sandisk web site. You may want to give a try download the pp5022.mi4 file from sandisk to replace it and follow the reset of procedure and that may fix your problem.
Good Luck!

Hi
I had the similar problem during the installation in my e280R. After many tryings following the step by step procedure like you did, I always had the Sandisk logo appearing and the original Firmware starting.
I found my fault, after I fix it, my e280R is working incredibly fine!
Here my mistake: I have downloaded the zip file containing the pp5022.mi4 and renamed it to OF.mi4. Instead of right clicking on the site to download the modified pp5022.mi4 (that is much smaller in size than the original one) I had unzipped it again from the zip file and used it following the rest of instructions.
The last time I did correct, downloanding from the site the pp5022.mi4 ( 59 Kb, dated of 20/10/2007 15:27), and installing this file on the root of the e280R.
Now my e280R is Rocking the Box!
Could it not be the same as you are facing?
