ipod photo AV cable

i understand that the ipod photo can play mpg files using rockbox,im just wondering if i can use the AV cable to view the video on a standard TV..im planning to buy an ipod photo because its cheaper now and if it can utilize the AV cable to let me watch the movie on a tV then it will be a big plus..

TV-out does not work in Rockbox.
