I don't think I'm doing anything wrong but I'm trying to get rockbox to produce the scrobbler.log file. I just go into the settings.. enable it and reboot, correct?
It's not working for me.
Any suggestions?

By "reboot" - it's meant that you should power the player off properly, and then back on again. Make sure you're not actually performing a hard reset of any kind on your player.
