FLAC playback on H140 seldom gapless now :-(

(1/1)

This may well be related to the other thread...locked but this is on a H140 I just got that Rockbox was not already installed on.

version r15394M-071101

The old version on my H120 plays without gaps (version r14976-071004)  works fine as far as playback.

no matter where the anti-skip buffer is set, by watching the HD light, it simply doesn't look for the next file in the list until its too late to feed it out smoothly leaving major gaps.

I suppose I can pull the other version off and move it to my H140 but...

Can I just remove all the non-music files off the H140 and replace them with the files off my H120 which works fine?

AlexP:
1) Please do not double post

2) I believe this is because of the major rewrite of the buffering engine that has just taken place, and is both known about and on the todo list.

3) Yes, the h120 and h140 builds are the same.

Hi Larry,

Is this still a problem with a new build?  If so, please can you open a report on our bug tracker.
