Unknown bootloader error on e200r
h2o_diver:
Hello everyone. I'm getting the following error displayed on my e200r after installing the e200r patch: "Unknown bootloader. Rockbox cannot continue".
Any thoughts? The patch installation seemed to go ok. The driver installed correctly as well.
Thanks in advance

Are you sure you have an e200r? Try running sansapatcher instead (with your Sansa in UMS/MSC disk mode) and see if it detects it.

If you followed the instructions for manual patching here, do them again. That's all you need, otherwise e200rpatcher is useless.

Ok. Thought the device was a e200r as it came with rapsody. No indication on the device however. Anyway, I ran the rockbox utility and at first it couldn't identify the device, but when I gave it the drive letter assigned to the device, the utility identified it as an e200.
So, I attempted the installation of the boot loader from the utility and it says "no sansa found". All the other items install just fine from the rockbox utility, but with no boot loader, it boots into the standard sansa load. I'll give the manual patch a go next.
By the way, the first reply mentioned a "sansapatcher". Is there a patch that I've missed or is that in referece to the e200rpatcher?
Appreciate the replies. Thanks everyone!
zwaldowski:
sansapatcher is the bootloader installer for an e200, e200rpatcher is for e200R.
