My ipod wont work!!! Please Read. Very strange problem

(1/1)

Hi i had rockbox for a while about 1 year ago and decided to uninstall it because i just like my ipod plain and simple. but anyways when i uninstalled it everything was fine and it worked good for a year or so and about 1 week ago my battery died and i tried to plug it in and and charge it. it said please wait very low battery and itunes wouldnt load up. i waited for about 2 hours and checked on it and it had the picture of the apple icon for a long time so i tried some buttons to see if it would do something else. i slid the hold button and the apple icon dissapeared and this came up

Rockbox boot loader
Version: 1.0
IPOD version: 0xFFFFFFFF
TOSHIBA MK3008GAL
Partition 1:0x0B 28537 MB
Loading Rockbox…
Error!
Can’t load rockbox. Ipod:
File not found
Press MENU+SELECT to reboot
Then SELECT+PLAY for disk mode

the strange thing is that rockbox is not on my ipod and it hasnt been on there for a year. so i try the menu+select and it reboots but it goes back to the very low battery thing and then to the apple icon and select+play does nothing
i was thinking that if i got a new battery i could fix it but that didnt work
so please can anyone help me. my computer doesnt even recognize my ipod on administrator. i dont know if there is some program that can help but please help.

im really angry because i might have to get another ipod because of rockbox >:(

Firstly, don't panic - there's no danger of you needing to buy a new ipod.

Just do what the message is telling you - hold MENU+SELECT together to reboot, and then immediately when you see the ipod reboot, press and hold SELECT+PLAY.  This will put your ipod into disk mode, and you can then access it from your computer.

Instructions for fully uninstalling Rockbox are in the manual.  Basically, you need to download ipodpatcher.exe, run it, and select "u" for uninstall.
