Did I install correctly?

I have recently installed rockbox on my 8 gig Sansa 280e and all my music/plugins seem to be in working order, except that whenever i try to connect my mp3 player to my computer, for some reason nothing happens anymore.  I am getting a picture of a USB cable on the sansa and I assume that means its connected on that end, but no folder appears in my computer (also I get no error messages or anything that indicates even a problematic USB connection).  The patcher is saying something about UMS mode, but i have searched the manual and the settings and cannot seem to find it.  I would appreciate information on how to fix this problem, or direction as to what specific part of the manual I should look at.  Thank you in advance.

Rockbox hasn't USB-Support implemented for the Sansa at the moment. But Zagor is working hard on it.

To connect your Sansa for file transfers, turn the player off and plug in the USB cable.  The Sansa should boot to the original firmware where you can mount the player as a drive (as you have already done) and manage your music that way.
