hi i jsut brought out my 8 gb sansa e280 now what???

well science im on the rocketbox fourms i guess its safe to say i wana hack the hell out of my sansa
my problem is where to start i didnt install rhapsody cause the installation was pissing me off and i threw away the cd =)

now when i connect the e280 windows says thers a usb device connected but i cant seem to find it anywhere except the disconnect pane  its defnetly not in my computer

and its not my pc either i built it from scratch and have the latest things running on it

what i want to so is put homebrew by what i understand rocket is homebrew with a fancy name (no offence intended) i have read the manuel but i cant go farther till i find it on my pc

A few points/questions:

It is Rockbox, not rocket .  

It is a complete replacement firmware for audio players, it is not a mod or hack of the existing firmware.

Do you have an E280 or E280r? - the difference is quite important.

What exactly are you doing (all steps + any error messages)

all it says is its e280
i found out how to make windows see it
u gotta change the setting to msc now it recodnises 2 new drives
sansa and a removable disk now what do i do?

1) You are required to use proper english on these forums.  "u" is not a word.

2) Have you tried reading the installation instructions in the manual?  If so, what step are you stuck on?

OK, in the menu, go to Settings->Mode and make sure it is in Rhapsody mode. The computer doesn't really like PlaysForSure.
