Voice playback in menus

Player: Sandisk Sansa e260
Rockbox version: daily offcial build 01/11/2007
Rockbox voice, english, daily build 01/11/2007

When voice is enabled, working properly when you start up the player, and while music is playing, but as soon as you pause the music and navigate, voice is muted/paused too.

Is this possible to prevent?

pondlife:
Not easily; the pausing actually pauses all audio output, for responsiveness.

If you stop, rather than pause, you'll get voice output.  It's slightly slower to resume playback, but that's about the only downside.

I don't know what the Sansa key is for stop, maybe someone else could help out here.

allright.. this would maby be a headsup for the programmers.. a colleague of me, which is in need of voiced menus to be able to navigate using rockbox reacted quite fast on this issue, which made it really hard to use the player.

Maby its possible to use another instance for the voice playback, different to the regular audio output?

Llorean:
Why doesn't he just stop the music playback instead of pausing it?

juice:
Trying to figure out if there is a stop button on the sansa. it is "power" button according to the manual, but that just send you to the main menu..

Anyone knows?
