Which mp3 player to buy
(1/1)
jchrisos:
Hi all,
Of all the forums, this seemed like the best one to place my question... I'm looking to replace my iPod. I have a 20gig 4th gen. I need something that 1.) supports Rockbox, 2.) supports .flac (or any other lossless codec), and 3.) Has a large hard drive - 100+ gigs would be good.
Any suggestions??
Thanks all!
LambdaCalculus:
If you want to stick with the iPod line, get yourself the 80GB iPod video. I think some online stores may have a few left in stock.
Or you can always get an iriver H140 or H340, then just upgrade the hard drive to 100+ GB.
AlexP:
1) Check the front page for supported players
2) All non-Archos targets support the same codecs.
3) The largest disk size that a rockbox target comes with (excluding Archos) is 80 Gb for the 5.5 gen ipod video.

I'm into buy the 80 GB 5.5 G ipod too does anyone has it just to tell us if it works fine with rockbox as it works with other ipod models?
Thanks
