c200 sansapatcher

(1/1)

John:
I changed my c240 and have tried to do an automated installation.
Probably because I have had a previous rockbox installation the automated installation says I have the bootloader already installed and it does not install it.
When the installation is completed the Sansa boots up the original firmware.
If I try and download the bootloader manually I get the following output which I have edited heavily:

ELF4#4 _Jv_R

[EDIT BY MODERATOR: rest of junk deleted]

How do I clean up this mess?

To use sansapatcher, save the file to disk, rather than opening it.  It seems the download server is sending the mime-type as "text", not binary.

John:
That worked. I had to save the file on a memory stick in Windows and then copy it into Linux but now it works beautifully. Thanks
