Why does ROCKbox take so long to resume playback after turning on?

I'm using Build 32.10. I've been experiencing alot of lockups with this build.

32.10 of what?  Rockbox builds for the sansa go by SVN revision number, and those are 5 digits, no decimal.

Thanks Saratoga. Can you explain to me a little about the auto update, initialize now and update options? When should we run these options in the background? And will running them in the background cause a higher probability of a lockup or track skip/delay? Thanks for the info.

How did you start the playback, originally? If it was from a database view, and the selection included many files, resume can take a while, though I don't know if two minutes is "normal". One way to test this is to save the selection as a playlist, play it, and then resume after a reboot.
