ipod simulator key map?

(1/1)

scharkalvin:
the sim document (http://www.rockbox.org/twiki/bin/view/Main/UiSimulator)
doesn't seem to list the keypap for the ipod.

the cursor keys sometimes map to the four wheel buttons on the ipod, except that
the volume is controlled by the up/down buttons like on the gigabeat.

What is the key map for the ipods?  It seems to change depending on what screen
you are in.  I can't find the scroll wheel 'keys' or the hold switch.  Select is sometimes
the space bar.  (I got stuck in the simulator with the rockblox plugin, couldn't
rotate the pieces or quit the game).

At least enough worked so I could play around with WPS changes.

AlexP:
Run it with ./rockboxui --background and you get a nice picture of the player with keys written on it.

scharkalvin:
Yes that helps.  Some of the key maps are not right with some
of the plugins for the simulator though.  None of the keys will
exit you from the rockblox tetris plugin.  Also even though
I simlinked my mp3 directory to the archos directory (I can find
the files with the file menu and play them) the database won't
build in the ipod mini simulator.

The sim uses the same keymap as the target, there are no specific "sim" keymaps. You could try and search the correct button (combo) in the matching manual and you'll know how to exit rockblox and many other plugins (I just tried myself, works as expected). ;)
