Help a newbe?
« on: October 23, 2007, 11:55:19 AM »
Hi, I just installed rockbox on my ipod, and now i want to write some simple apps to it, but i need to clarify some things.

First, i can not just create the plugin and then drop it in the plugin folder? I need to compile a build and my plugins at the same time?

The plugins need to be written i c?

is there a archive of user plugins source some were?

Thanks

Correct

I guess you could probably write them in something else - but the amount of work involved in porting the entire plugin API away from C would be pretty horrific - so C would be the easiest choice.

All user plugins that have ever made it into the core of rockbox have their source in the svn repository. Others which have not been so fortunate can be found in flyspray (the patch tracker).
