Absolutely no playback under Rockbox
brownbox:
Alright, I had a little play around with it.
it plays maybe 1 second of the song, then skips to the next one. It just keeps going like this through all the songs.

What did you do to "completely wipe" it ?
brownbox:
I entered recovery mode on the player, and did a full reformat and firmware flash then reinstalled.
GodEater:
I'm not massively familiar with this player, so I'm unable to comment on what this does in terms of a wipe.
Could you just delete your .rockbox directory and all it's content, unzip a fresh build onto your player, and make sure you don't change ANY settings (no theme, no sound settings - nothing!) before you attempt to playback your files.
Lear:
Actually, it can be a problem with the MP3 files. Each frame in a file can contain a CRC value, and some encoders put an incorrect value there (rather than omitting it). Some decoders check this value, and refuse to play the frame if the CRC is incorrect. Rockbox does currently check the CRC (though it can easily be changed), which could explain this behavior.
I think mp3check can check for this. There may be other programs that can do it too, but I'm not aware of any.
