e200rpatcher

(1/1)

zajacattack:
So, is there work being done so that e200rpatcher can function like sansapatcher and just put the OF in the hidden partition?
Also, would it be possible then, to decrypt OF.mi4, and have e200rpatcher copy OF.bin to the hidden partition for the fastest boot time (because it checks the hidden partition first)?

JdGordon:
not at the moment.

e280ruser:
As I understand it, the R series doesn't have the hidden partition.  I could be wrong, however.

linuxstb:
The R does have the hidden partition, but it's even more hidden than on the vanilla E200 - it's not exposed via USB, so can't be modified from a PC.

That's why e200rpatcher was written - it uploads an application to the E200R (via the manufacturer usb-boot mode) which modifies the Sansa bootloader which is stored in the hidden partition to remove the extra security checks.
