Uninstall from E260R without Rockbox Utility
« on: October 21, 2007, 08:52:54 PM »
I've been searching but can't seem to find a basic step-by-step to uninstall.

I've installed Rockbox on my E260r and while it's working fine, I want to uninstall it.

Can someone point me to step-by-step manual uninstall instructions if they are here somewhere?

Just so you know what I've already done:

Rockbox Utility thinks the unit is in MTP (Plays for Sure)  mode when it is already in MSC (Rhapsody) mode. I've tried switching  back and forth, but Rockbox Utility just won't believe it's in MSC, so it won't go any further. The list of drives doesn't detect the Sansa at G: , only goes up to F:

The manual explains how to manually uninstall on the E200 series but talks about going through the bootloader instructions for E200r.

I don't see the "U" option (which is mentioned for Sansapatcher on the E200) when I connect in manufacturer mode and open E200rpatcher.exe .

If instructions are already here, please help me locate them. Thanks.

Well, I just ran the Sansa Updater, and it now boots to the Rhapsody firmware again.  Props to Rockbox--I'll keep checking in for USB support, and then it's Rockbox all the way.
